Erin Godwin Reijswoud

25 November to 8 December 2017

Erin Godwin studied Fine Art at the Queensland College of Art prior to muting her more artistic ambitions to become a print journalist, and then further on to complete a law degree. But her love of making art abides; she is particularly drawn to photography and drawing/mixed media using a collage like technique to construct pieces.

This series of works were taken while she was in the Netherlands with her Dutch husband and young child were on display from 25 November to 8 December 2017.  They are a reflection on the duality of connectedness and isolation bound to globalisation, the experience of being a mother of a bi-cultural child; the complexity and otherness of being so close to a person who belongs to something you do not.
